The Jedi Crystal
Since
before the time of the Old Republic, there had been rumors of a fabled crystal that
granted any living holding it power surpassing that of a Jedi Master. For a
while, this was considered just a legend, but a recent discovery may prove
otherwise. An ancient temple was found on a once forgotten world when Imperial
scouts did a scanner sweep of the area. This sparked immediate interest of the
infamous General Merrik Yvakk, a man obsessed with ancient mythology. But this
new discovery has not only struck the interest of the Empire, but also many
smuggler groups that want to use the power to hold better control over their
territories.
The
rebel high command, while doubting the crystalÕs existence, have decided to
incorporate the skills of Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors to find out if the legends
are true, and if so, stop the Imperial General at all costs. Katarn, meanwhile,
was on leave and relaxing on Dantooine. The mission didnÕt set any interest in
him, until he heard who the officer was controlling this expedition, upon which
Katarn quickly left the planet in persuit.
And
so KatarnÕs latest quest has begun, but many questions have been left
unanswered: Does the crystal really exist? And just what is the relation
between Kyle and Merrick?
